Wedding Planning Tip: Ask Questions

TODAY's wedding tip by Thuothuo: Ask questions to vendors.

We spend years dreaming of how beautiful our wedding will be, bookmarking favorite vendors and following them on Instagram so religiously that we develop so much faith in them. But looking at something never makes you understand it, not to the level of success you want for your big day.

Ask questions. Ask the priest how long they plan to preach, how many pastors they will give a moment to greet the congregation and if they allow your type of entrance song before you get surprised on the wedding day by your pastor's straight face ordering the DJ to stop the music in the middle of your walk down the aisle. Ask questions....uliza maswali.

Ask the videographer how long the wedding video will be, ask them what they will cover, what cameras they use and google their reviews. Ask the photographer how many pages you will get in your album, design and what they will write as description.

Ask the limo transport company what year your limo will be, ask to see it....not on the website, I mean at the parking yard. Or else you will get a black school bus :)

Ask the hotel how many years their chef has been cooking for events.

Ask the DJ if mics are cordless, and how many (s)he has. Ask the Emcee/facilitator if they're scripted or freestyle.

Bottom-line, Ask questions.

Happy Planning!
